Wheelhouse Media was approached by RK Motors to create this 45 second commercial meant to reach the heart of every car lover during two of the country’s premier auto auctions - the Barrett Jackson &Mecum Auctions.


For many classic car enthusiasts, the vehicle they choose to drive often reflects nostalgia for another time. The question was how to capture this emotion effectively for one of the country’s top consignment dealers in a national television spot?


Following an extensive discovery session with our client, we wrote, produced and directed this commercial, which stars a fully restored 1969 Chevy Camaro, to capture the transformative power of the classic car. Shot on the back country roads of Rowan County, just north of Charlotte, to show how just the right car can bring back memories that transform you.


As planned, RK Motors placed this spot into heavy rotation during the broadcasts of both the Barrett Jackson and Mecum Auctions to remind everyone that it’s about the feelings and emotions this kind of car evokes.
